Its all about the data subjects

Organizations should design tools and processes that will ensure that the following rights are maintained:

  • Purpose limitation - Only collect this data that is or specified, explicit and serves  legitimate purposes

  • The right to access a person's personal data by requesting a copy of the data collected, stored or processed on it;

  • Accuracy - The right to correct personal data if they are inaccurate or incomplete.

  • The right to be forgotten or the right to delete personal information in certain circumstances.

  • The right to restrict the processing or use of a person's
    personal data.

  • The right to object to the use of a person's information for marketing, sales or non-service purposes.

  • Integrity and confidentiality - The privacy laws of some countries include requirements to implement and maintain appropriate security measures to protect private information.

  • Data minimization - Some state laws also address the requirement to dispose of information when the organization no longer has a business reason to retain it.

Let us help you to audit, plan, design and maintain processes ensuring all these requirements are met.

Privacy By Design

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) talks about  “Privacy by design and by Default.”  It demands that organizations “implement appropriate technical and organizational measures in an effective manner and to integrate the necessary safeguards into the processing in order to meet the requirements  and protect the rights of data subjects.”.

Privacy must become integral to organizational priorities, project objectives, design processes, and planning operations. Privacy must be embedded into every standard, protocol and process that touches our lives. This document seeks to make this possible by striving to establish a universal framework for the strongest protection of privacy available in the modern era".

Let us hold your hand during the development process, ensuring that the right controls are planned, deployed and tested.
